Hundreds of Nile crocodiles and themed botanical gardens on the edge of the city.

Crocoparc opened in 2015 at Drarga, on the eastern outskirts of Agadir. Across roughly four hectares, more than 300 Nile crocodiles share the site with landscaped gardens, water features and a cactus garden — a relaxed half-day that works especially well for families.

Highlights

  • Viewing points over pools where Nile crocodiles bask and swim
  • Botanical gardens with water lilies and plants from many parts of the world
  • A cactus garden, added as an extension after the park opened
  • Shaded paths and benches for a gentle pace
  • A good choice for a lower-effort day between bigger outings

What to expect

The visit is self-paced along marked paths, with the crocodiles safely behind barriers. They spend much of the day resting, so a little patience at the viewing points is rewarded.

Leave time for the gardens: for many visitors they are as memorable as the reptiles.

Good to know

  • Opening hours and ticket prices are set by the park — please check them directly before your visit.
  • Keep a close eye on small children near the viewing areas.
  • Some areas are sunny, so bring a hat and water.
  • It pairs easily with a city afternoon or Souk El Had.

Where it is

Crocoparc is at Drarga, east of Agadir city and a short drive inland from the hotel zone.

Questions

How many crocodiles live there?

Published figures range from about 300 to 350 Nile crocodiles, depending on the source and the year.

Is it worth it for adults without children?

Many adults enjoy it, especially for the gardens and photography. It is a calm, unhurried visit rather than a big adventure.
